Fountain Mural

C/ Bandolero Andrés García

In the mural painted in the village, the stone fountain occupies the central place as a tribute to this type of structure that is so common and defining in daily life. Its image not only beautifies the public space, but also reminds residents and visitors that for generations these fountains were places of gathering, water supply and community life.

The Corners of the Kiss of Cartajima are small spaces throughout the village decorated with murals that celebrate affection, intimacy, and the beauty of sharing simple moments. Each corner blends art with its surroundings, inviting visitors to pause and enjoy a romantic experience among narrow streets and whitewashed houses. Designed for both visitors and locals, they have become iconic spots for photos, strolls, and encounters, adding warmth and charm to the historic centre while enhancing the welcoming and emotional essence of Cartajima.

The Phone Booth Mural

Plaza del Pintor Miguel Martín

The mural on the telephone booth in Cartajima reflects the village’s rural identity: it forms part of a series of street paintings that pay tribute to its customs, traditions, natural surroundings, and everyday life.

Beyond decorating an everyday object, it turns the booth into a symbol of collective memory —a corner where past and present come together in colour— inviting both locals and visitors to stroll through the streets and rediscover the essence of Cartajima.

The River Mural

C/ Zepaire

The river was not only a place where women went to hang out the laundry, but also a space for meeting and socialising, where conversations and moments were shared surrounded by nature. The long walks carrying clothes symbolise the effort and dedication of the women, who made the river an essential part of the community’s everyday life, filled with stories and tradition.
